I didn't realize we hadn't posted in almost a month. And I (Marc) haven't posted in much longer than that! So I wanted to update everyone on the goings-on here in New Albany. Stephanie and I have both been a bit stressed this semester for a variety of reasons. But we are doing our best to depend on the Lord to help us through. We both have been having great times with God. I have found great value in meditating on (thinking intently about) small parts of Scripture instead of reading huge chunks, and Stephanie is going through a women's Bible study at church right now that has rejuvenated her in her walk with God. I've been given several unexpected opportunities to share the gospel with people and continue to try to be more sensitive to the need of so many people I meet for salvation. Stephanie is growing in her patience with her students--even in the midst of pressure over test scores, etc.
We've been blessed to have family and friends either visit us in the last few weeks. Four weekends ago, Stephanie's mom, dad, and brother came down here to visit us, and we enjoyed our time with them. The following weekend my parents came to visit, and we loved being able to spend time with them too. Then the next weekend, we went to Indianapolis to check in on our families up there. We saw Mike, Lindsay, and Ruby (who is adorable). Megan was on Spring Break, so we got to spend a little time with her too. We were able to spend some time with my grandparents (which is always fun), and then we spent a few hours with Stephanie's family again, getting to see Matt, Rachel, and Aubrey (who's very cute too). Then, just a few days ago, our good friends Justin and Jen Noelle came down from Indianapolis to visit! So we have had a great time with all of these people. We value you all so much and appreciate your love for us.
On a side note, we are looking forward to our Spring break in a few weeks. We're probably going to go to Nashville, TN the weekend after Easter to get away for a little while. It'll be nice to have no school for a week!
Also, I have decided to quit UPS when the summer rolls around. It's been nice financially, but in every other aspect of life, it's complicated things and reached a point where it's a detrement to my health. So whenever I get my school money for this semester, I'm finished! I'll return to work for Panera whenever that takes place.
Let's see, what other thoughts do I have??? Sanjaya is terrible on American Idol, and it's a joke that he's still in the competition...Stephanie is beating me in our mini tournament pool--she's made some great picks!....I'm excited for baseball season to start...just a few weeks away!
Finally, this is random, but I thought I'd let people know that Stephanie is going to take part in a children's musical at our church this spring. She's really looking forward to it, even though it's a lot of hard work to prepare. She'll do great!
That's all for now. Sorry we don't update more. We aren't as technologically savvy as some :)
