But Most of All...Thank You for This Most Wonderful Day

With tears in her eyes she looked up at me and said, "Mommy I prayed God would make me stop throwing up, but He's not answering my prayer. "Oh, sweetheart," I softly replied, "God wants all the yuckies to get out of your tummy so your body can be healthy again. He'll help you stop throwing up as soon as the yuckies are gone. Why don't we pray together right now." With her little raspy voice she started, "Lord thank you for this most wonderful day. Please help me to stop being sick. But most of all, thank you for this most wonderful day." -Excerpt from Lysa TerKeurst's The Bathtub is Overflowing But I Feel Drained

Was reading this last night when reviewing the book to find a quote to share with my mommy-to-be friend, Jen. How fitting it is that it was on a night when Caleb was suffering from influenza a, and we were facing a LONG night. :) It's 4 am currently, and we've been up every hour or 2...yikes! This is SUCH a good lesson. I want to be like this little girl! When the yuckies of life come, I want to praise the Lord first and foremost. I LONG to have a gentle and quiet spirit that lives by the truth that God brings hardship to teach and not punish. The Lord has exploded this truth in my heart so much the last year, and I am so humbled by His wisdom and knowledge. He knows just what I can handle! (and it's more than I think I can handle often:)

Hope this encourages you today!

Hey Steph & Marc,

We agree with POP, we need to see some more photo's and updates.

He is a very handsom young great-grandson that we like to look at. I love hearing his voice and seeing his smiles and bright eyes.
