How Deep The Father's Love For Us

I have the privelege of leading worship at our church tomorrow. One of the songs we are going to sing is this one. I think it's the first time that as I was singing a song that the gospel really struck me and sunk into my heart.

Listen particularly to the second verse and how intensely personal it is:

Behold the man upon the cross
My guilt upon his shoulders
Ashamed I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers.
It was my sin that held him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished.

The cross takes on such powerful meaning when I realize that He was suffering at the hand of the Father because of MY sins--and He was dying to bring ME eternal life. What a humbling thought!

Marc,

I see your picture holding the guitar, but what do I click on to hear you sing?
I hear someone else singing a different song.
Please advise me.

Grandma,

It's like what Mike said last time with the other video. We have a player on the bottom of our blog that plays songs continuosly. You have to scroll down and stop that first. Then to watch the video you just push the triangle for play on the picture. Hope that helps!
