Current Happenings

What a year of changes for our family! We hope to resurrect this blog in order to continue to share "good words" and to keep long distance family and friends up to date about the ordinary things in our lives. :) Here are some very brief updates:

Marc:
*Continues to love serving at CCC and recently became an elder. He is now in charge of the whole Family Life Department. He is really excited about the opportunity and humbled at the task of serving families in this way.
*Completed the Indy mini again this past spring
*Had pinky surgery in the summer...didn't love the anesthesia and needles but made it through!

Steph:
*Thankful for God's daily grace in raising two little people. Being a mom of two has been both easier and harder than expected. :)
*Scaling back on commitments at church during this season of life and focusing on taking care of things at home to free Marc up to serve. She still enjoys serving in the church library and meeting with the teens individually occasionally.
*Enjoying meeting with neighborhood moms for support and studying God's word together
*Struggling with vertigo and fatigue pretty heavily....has off and on for five years. Diagnosed with migraine associated vertigo or possible early Meniere's Disease. Found out she has many food sensitivities that may contribute to it, so she is working hard at her diet.

Caleb:
*Started preschool!! He absolutely loves it. He is beginning to sound out words and really take off academically.
*Really into building and imagining things...went through a phase of building "ice cream machines"
*Loves to help with Emma and be a big brother
*Found out his peanut and soy allergies are much higher than we thought, so diet changes for him too :)

Emma:
*What a dear she is! She is a very easy baby like Caleb.
*Going through a lot of changes...starting solid food, cutting her two top teeth (four total!), down to two naps most days, slowing weaning to formula to help Mommy focus on her health
*Loves music, her jumperoo, rolling...not quite sitting yet but close

We continue to praise God for his kindness in getting us through each day, reminding us of truth, and growing us in both prosperity and hardship. Looking forward to writing more about what He is teaching us!
