Life is good. I have a shirt that says that and wear it often, but it's so easy to forget! God works all things together for good for those who love him, but that doesn't mean life is always easy. Marc and I are both doing well. The last few weeks we've had a great time with friends and family. First, we celebrated Grandma and Grandpa Goodwin's 50th anniversary. It was a blast, and it was a blessing to see their committment after so long. It was so neat to see the fruit of their union...such a big family! It made us look forward to starting our own, Lord willing. We both are ready, but we know we need to wait until we know where we're headed next year regarding Marc's job. I've been studying women of the Bible. If Sarah could wait til she's an elderly woman, I can wait a few years. =) The faith of Sarah has taught me a lot.
Marc and I then traveled to Cincinnati to my cousing Josh's wedding. It was a great time with family. We ate breakfast with uncle Danny and grandma the next day and had a great conversation about faith and family. We talked about things we never had before. It's been so neat to get to know both of them better over the years. I am convinced that we have a great bond due to our relationships with Christ. I love them so much!
Next week Marc has the week off. I have next Friday through Tuesday without kids, but of course I have do still do work at the school. =) Needless to say, it'll be nice to catch up. On Friday Marc, me, Rachel, Matt, Aubrey, and grandma are headed to Monticello, KY. Some of you might know that that is where my grandpa grew up. We spent our childhood visiting his farmhouse. Unfortunately, it was arsoned a few years back. It was, and still is, hard for us to accept, especially since it was arsoned before a while back. It's my understanding that the man who did it served no punishment. It'll be our first time seeing the land without the house, but it'll be a nice time to reminisce.
Finally, Marc and I randomly decided late last night to rearrange our apartment. =) We'll talk pictures soon. I like it, but it's harder to make stuff look right on the walls. I had trouble picturing where to hang things. Anyhoo....have a good week!
Steph
