I got the rare opportunity to preach the morning and evening services at my
home church in Indianapolis this week. This was a first for me, but I really enjoyed it and gained a lot from the experience. It's nervewracking to preach in front of people who've known you since you were in diapers, but they are all very loving and supportive of me and Stephanie. I really appreciated Mike, Lindsay, and Ruby coming all the way from Lafayette on short notice, the Pauls and Barbishes coming to see me, the rest of my family's ongoing support, and the Dimmicks' thoughtfulness and encouragement--not to leave anyone out! One more year of seminary and then hopefully God will reveal where He wants us to be. More and more we are looking forward and prayerful about His leading, wanting so badly to be somewhere where we can serve without feeling pulled in many directions! Ministry is tiring and harder than most think--but we can't wait! Thank you all for your prayers and your kind words!
By the way, Happy birthday Mom! We hope you have a good one!
